Macadamia Courses at North Coast TAFE, Wollongbar Campus 2010
Wollongbar TAFE will be conducting various courses of particular relevance to macadamia farmers during semester two 2010.
Courses include:
- Rural Production Studies – Macadamia Nut Production #946, Wollongbar Campus – run by Alan Coates. For more information please contact the AMS offices or the North Coast TAFE Campus on (02) 6620 4700
- A Chemicals re-accreditation course has been scheduled for Macadamia Growers.
Growers are required to bring to the course evidence of appropriate pesticide use. It will be a one day session on legislation and chemical use issues, to be held on September 24th 2010.
N.B. Those who do not bring their evidence with them on the day will not be accredited until the evidence is produced, or could be tested after the workshop for an additional fee.
- A full Chemical Application accrediation course has been organised for growers to run over two days: 10th and 17th September 2010. For more information or bookings call the AMS office or the North Coast TAFE Campus (02) 6620 4700
- Organic Farming Certificate IV RTE40103 – Agricultural Section, Wollongbar Campus. This course includes field work, practical exercises, farm visits and analysis. Field visits to other regions to observe organic production are carried out as part of the course. For more information contact Dave Forrest
